Treasury Peer™ encourages initiatives in the treasury industry for developing the profession and adding new perspectives on treasury and finance. In particular we focus on achievements putting treasury into the commercial direction of the corporation. Basically we look for treasuries doing the right things and not only the things right. The Award is rewarded on occasion and not regularly.
The jury and nomination committee consist of Magnus Lind and Susanna Bondéus. Propositions of nominees are highly appreciated.
The Treasury Peer Award for Improving Treasury Practices will be presented on April 18 2013 in our upcoming London meeting.
The Treasury Peer Award for Improving Treasury Practices 2012 was rewarded to DONG Energy A/S for its new accounting principles as of quarter 1, 2011 to fully reflect its risk management in the financial statements.
Motivation for the Award: “DONG Energy has challenged the prevailing accounting standards’ many times insufficient abilities to portray corporate risk management correctly.
